| For years, close friends and family of Jim have known him as a unique and special painter in oils. He presents his own personal style of the Southwest. Skyscapes, landscapes and country scenes done in both abstract and realism with an impressionist influence captures the warmth, color and emotional character of the region and lifestyle. Jim's unschooled approach to his painting has given him the freedom to be creative, spontaneous and very original. He is his own artist. His paintings are understated, simple in their presentation, rich with color and warm to the eye.
